Stitching Our Stories is a partnership project of Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre (TAEC) and PhotoForward and was made possible through the collaboration of our education team:

"Since PhotoForward began 10 years ago, I have had the joy of working in partnership with organizations and communities around the world to develop programs that celebrate women and girls' cultural histories and individual stories, and it has been a special honour to create the Stitching Our Stories program in cooperation with the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre.

The 28 women and girls in this program created and collected the stories, oral histories, and cultural artifacts featured in this exhibition, and they also helped to shape and improve our workshops and educational opportunities. Their work has now been shown around the world, including film festivals, art galleries, and cultural exhibitions in Laos, Cambodia, Great Britain, and the United States. I am so grateful to all of our artists for sharing their talent, time, and stories with us. "
